MANAGING DIRECTOR

James is responsible for running the company, coordinating day-to-day operations and new business.

James joined Montgomery Associates in 2013, marking the company’s transition to a second-generation family business. His role spans all aspects of the company’s operations and he is a member of the Investment Committee.

Latest: James and the team are working hard behind the scenes on the latest evolution of our family business. This new service is called Montgomery Wealth and is dedicated to children of clients, young investors and those new to finance. Coming in 2025. Register your interest.

James read Engineering at the University of Warwick and Business Studies at Warwick Business School. He began his financial services career at Coutts bank in their Private Office on the Strand in London, working for Ultra High Net Worth clients, and prior to this he worked at Jaguar Land Rover as a European Analyst in Paris and at the company’s UK head quarters.​

Outside of work James enjoys spending much of his free time with his wife and three young children at their home in Dorset. His interests include music, hockey, tennis, sailing, classic cars and renovating old properties.
