Our Montgomery Portfolio Service or ‘MPS’ is a straightforward and cost-effective way of investing. Managed in-house and on a discretionary basis, three portfolios have been designed specifically to suit our clients’ attitude to risk.

A Montgomery wealth manager matches you to the most appropriate portfolio based on factors like your investment time horizon and experience.

We invest in a broad range of diversified global assets across multiple sectors and currencies and our portfolios are reviewed regularly by our investment committee. We take a pragmatic approach to integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) as part of our broader active management philosophy.

Our Montgomery Portfolio Service has been designed specifically for those wanting a straightforward investment solution or for younger family members new to the world of finance.

If you are looking to start saving for a grandchild, help a teenage relative on their way to a house deposit, or have a family member looking to invest, we now have an account to fit.

The Montgomery Portfolio Service is available to existing clients and their families starting at £10,000 as well as new clients starting at £150,000.

Fees and charges

Montgomery Portfolio Service

Our charges are designed to be transparent and highly competitive. The account setup and first investment is arranged under a single flat fee* and our annual management charge covers the ongoing management of the portfolio, asset allocation, strategic and tactical adjustments to the underlying holdings. Clients receive Quarterly Statements as well as an Annual Report and all activity including transactions, fees and charges are summarised neatly for you.

Fees are raised automatically directly from the account, with initial fees raised at inception and annual management charges raised on a monthly basis calculated on the portfolio’s total.

We do not charge for withdrawals, often referred to as exit penalties or redemption fees. Financial advice is available for clients of the Montgomery Portfolio Service in the form of ad hoc advice at our hourly rate or as a Wealth Report with charges starting at £2,000.

  • Montgomery Associates’ charges

    Account set-up charge £400 (£800 for a couple)
    (0.75% initial fee applies to future top-ups)

    Annual Management Charge 0.75% p/a
    Raised from the portfolio on a monthly basis equating to £31.25 per month (£375 per annum).

    Platform and fund manager fees

    Platform fees range from 0.05%-0.5% p/a depending on the sum invested.

    Fund manager fees typically range from 0.25% to 1.00% p/a.

  • Montgomery Associates’ charges

    Account set-up charge £400 (£800 for a couple)
    (0.75% initial fee applies to future top-ups)

    Annual Management Charge 0.75% p/a
    Raised from the portfolio on a monthly basis equating to £62.20 per month (£750 per annum).

    Platform and fund manager fees

    Platform fees range from 0.05%-0.5% p/a depending on the sum invested.

    Fund manager fees typically range from 0.25% to 1.00% p/a.

  • Montgomery Associates’ charges

    Account set-up charge £400 (£800 for a couple)
    (0.75% initial fee applies to future top-ups)

    Annual Management Charge 0.75% p/a
    Raised from the portfolio on a monthly basis equating to £156.25 per month (£1,875 per annum).

    Platform and fund manager fees

    Platform fees range from 0.05%-0.5% p/a depending on the sum invested.

    Fund manager fees typically range from 0.25% to 1.00% p/a.
